In Leksvik, this project asks how a village can grow by fully harnessing its natural resources—drawing from the enduring wisdom of the fiskerbonden, the fisher-farmer who lives between land and sea.
At the threshold where fjord meets field, the proposal fuses aquaculture, local industry, and public space. It creates a new spine along the waterfront: that connects the village, and the village back to the sea. Three nodes punctuate this spine - to support both social activity and local production.
By densifying key areas and decentralizing others, the project invites gradual growth, rooted in the specificity of place. It champions a development model that is productive, and deeply embedded in the local ecology and culture.
