The project is the result of an interdisciplinary summer internship with Forsvarsbygg, where eight students explored how data and digitalization can strengthen property management, with a particular focus on condition-based maintenance. The topic is highly relevant in light of the Defence Boost initiative and the need for a more robust, efficient, and future-oriented management approach. Forsvarsbygg manages one of Norway’s largest and most complex property portfolios, and its ambition to become a leading digital property manager requires holistic strategies, improved data quality, and system integration. The report presents a method and a prototype that can support smarter decision-making and more efficient resource use. While the project’s scope and time frame impose certain limitations, the goal is to provide a useful and inspiring contribution to the development of a new system for Forsvarsbygg.
